Nick Land, a British philosopher who specializes in short horror stories, is called the "father of accelerationism". His style of writing is often referred to as "theoretical science fiction". In the 1990s, he co-founded the CyberCulture Institute (CCRU), where his main research focuses on accelerationism and speculative realism.
